About the role



As a Residential Support Worker within the Adult Learning Disability Services you will support service users with a variety of needs in a range of settings, enabling them to live as independently and fulfilling a life as possible.



We have a variety of full-time and part-time opportunities available across the range of our services from supported living, respite services and our community residential homes.

A competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum. An additional pay allowance for working unsociable hours will also be available.

20 days annual leave which will increase after a number of years’ service plus all Manx and UK bank holidays.



Access to the Learning, Education and Development training facility, which is exclusively for Public Service employees, to keep on top of your continuous professional development



You will be fully supported to obtain the QCF Level III in Health and Social Care, if not already attained.



Access to the Isle of Man Public Service Cycle to Work scheme after your first year of employment.



Ability to take an unpaid career break after 3 years’ service.

The post requires shift working including unsociable hours, sleep-in and waking night’s duties.



An enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Isle of Man Government will cover the cost of for you.



A full, valid driving licence is desirable for this role.



Please note a relocation package is not available for this role.
